When choosing new sites we pride ourselves on selecting desirable areas which have a real sense of community. This is particularly evident at our Bowland View development, based in Grimsargh. We hosted not one, but two Christmas events at our Bowland View development to help bring the community together and spread some Christmas cheer.
Our first visit was from Grimsargh pre-school. We had a lovely afternoon with the little ones, listening to them sing their favourite festive songs and giving them their first Christmas present of the year!
Longridge High School
We were also treated to an amazing performance from the pupils at Longridge High School. They arrived with pianos, saxophones and guitars and sang an array of traditional Christmas carols. They also shared out the song sheets too so we could join in! Although admittedly we were not as tuneful as them….
Following the carols were a wonderful array of solo performances, as the students sang everything from Les Miserables to the latest chart toppers. They even concluded with an acapella performance of Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud.
There was mince pies, miniature heroes and mulled wine (for the teachers), plus presents for all the pupils. It was the perfect finish to a great afternoon.
